    This coin is the fourth in a series of seven that will honor Malta's prehistoric monuments that are listed by UNESCO as World Heritage Sites.
    The obverse shows a representation of the Ta’ Hagrat temples. The reverse carries the common design for the 2 euro coin.
    The €2 commemorative coin has only been issued with a low limit of 320,000 coins (285,000 uncirculated in rolls without any mint mark, 15,000 in the BU sets with F mint mark only, and 20,000 in BU quality packaged in a coin card with the French cornucopia mint mark only).
