I apologize for such a convoluted title!
This design is exactly the same as several several leaping fish mugs by Otagiri, the style, the making, everything about it screams Otagiri -- but it is unmarked! Regrettably, I don't feel 100% confident to say it is.
There is zero damage, they are like new.
This mug/bowl design is typically used for soups or chili.
Each weighs just shy of 1lb. I believe they are stoneware -- definitely not porcelain. They are hefty.

They are quite nice. There's a texture where the image was stamped into the clay, then painted and glazed over.
