This is a semi-translucent base solid opal meaning light can pass into the opal giving it depth of color.

. This Opal is a Domed Oval Cabochon Cut. Cabochon refers to a gemstone that has been shaped and highly polished instead of being faceted. This opal is natural solid welo opal that has its origins in the Wollo Province in the horn of Africa.
The term “Solid Opal” means
that the opal you are looking at is indeed a solid chunk of the opal and not a sliver of opal set on a background which would be a doublet or triplet opal.
Solid opals are more rare and valuable.
This ring is vintage 1960's and probably originally had a Linde sapphire or another type of cabochon. This opal was cut and expertly prong set later since welo opals came into use about 30 years ago. There is a mirror polished concave oval surrounding the opal that reflects light into the opal and shows off the colors.
This ring also features a Two 1.5mm Natural & Genuine Diamonds expertly bead set in recessed white gold triangular mounts. Both Diamonds have nice color and clarity. Both Diamonds are
guaranteed
to be both Genuine & Natural. The opal and both diamonds are in
PERFECT PRISTINE CONDITION
free of any chips, nicks, cracks, or scratches. This white gold ring has a beautiful had brushed finish.
A brushed finish is a hand engraved textured surface consisting if tiny parallel lines. This ring also has a great solid back design.

dark areas on the gold in the photos are not blemishes but shadows and reflections due to the difficulty in photographing the highly polished gold.

A Note Regarding Our Shipping Safety:

Be wary of any online seller that offers sizing of a ring before it is shipped to you. Due to differences in measuring devices and the way certain types of rings fit these rings should only be sized in person by your local jeweler. Sizing by your local jeweler is relatively inexpensive and you will have a ring that properly fits your finger. All size 9 rings are not the same. The ring may fit on a mandrel and measure as a size 9 but the way the ring is made, the way the ring has been enlarged or reduced, and the finger type you have may make it fit like an 8 or 10 or worse. Have your sizing done in person for a proper fit.
